China Launches Online Arrival Card System for Travelers
Starting November 20, 2025, China introduced an online arrival card system at all entry and exit ports to simplify border procedures and speed up crossings. Travelers can complete the form in advance via the National Immigration Administration website, the NIA 12367 app, or mini programs on WeChat and Alipay, and receive a QR code for immigration. If not completed before departure, travelers can still fill it out upon arrival using QR codes or paper forms during the transition period. Certain groups, such as holders of permanent resident IDs, group visa travelers, and 24-hour transit passengers, are exempt from this requirement.
