Gold Medal for Luxembourg Chefs at FHC Shanghai-Culinary Competition

History was made at the FHC Global Food Trade Show in Shanghai! For the first time, Luxembourgish chefs competed—and they claimed the gold medal!

The team comprised Chef Thomas Murer,  currently training to become a culinary teacher at the Bouneweger Lycée (BLL); Lucas Andrieux, sous-chef at Archibald de Prince; Victor Thill, second-in-command at Bei den Zwillingen in Junglinster; and kitchen assistant Lio Semedo, a second-year student at BLL.

The team was proudly supported by the culinary association Vatel Luxembourg. Its President, Ben Weber and Carlo Sauber, Coordinator of the Rak Porcelain Culinary World Cup, Culinary Competition Committee of Worldchefs, guided the preparation while Chef  Weber also served as a jury member at the event, cheering the team on throughout the competition.

They impressed the jury with a creative three-course menu, beating top teams from China, Mexico, Ghana, New Zealand, and the Philippines.

Congratulations to these talented chefs for showcasing Luxembourg’s culinary excellence on the global stage!
