Minister of Finance meets CEO of China Merchants Bank
Minister Gramegna took the opportunity of his visit to China to meet with China Merchants Bank’s President and CEO. Mr. Tian Huiyu on January 19th.This meeting was the occasion for the two sides to further discuss China Merchants Bank establishment in Luxembourg and exchange about the bank’s future developments.
As additional news, China Merchants Bank was officially registered at Luxembourg’s Trade and Companies Register last January 22nd a few weeks after its newly appointed Director-General, Mr. Feng Shenjiang, took its functions.
The bank is also to open new offices in Luxembourg's Boulevard Royal in the Spring of 2016, it will rent an entire building, which spans 5,000 m sq of office space designed by French architects Agences Elisabeth & Christian de Portzamparc. In the meantime, they will use offices located at Jean Monnet road.
