Luxembourg’s Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Claude Wiseler, on an Official Visit to China

Luxembourg’s Minister Claude Wiseler led a delegation of representatives from Cargolux, Luxair and lux-Airport to Beijing and Zhengzhou from May 16

In Beijing, Minister Wiseler met his Chinese counterpart, Mr. Yang Chuantang, Minister of Transport in China, and Mr. Li Jiaxiang, Vice Minister of Transport and Director of the Agency for Civil Aviation, to promote the logistic capabilities of Luxembourg and discuss air traffic rights.

Minister Wiseler then visited Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, he met the party secretary of Henan Province, Mr. Guo Gengmao, and the governor of Henan Province, Mr. Xie Fuzhan, together with leaders of neighbouring provinces. The Luxembourg delegation discussed various areas of cooperation between Luxembourg and the province of Henan during the course of meetings, involving the logistics hub and Luxembourg's Findel airport, as well as the pilot phase of a logistics hub in Zhengzhou.

The delegation also took part in the "Central China Expo 2013" showcase event in Zhengzhou, bringing together the six major provinces in central China. The opening of the exhibition was conducted by Minister Wiseler together with Mr. Wang Yuang, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and the governors of central China provinces
