Luxembourg participates in launch of AIIB in Beijing

, the representatives from 50 countries signed the articles of agreement of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing. This institution will fund projects in Asian countries having a bitter need of modern energy, transportation or communication infrastructures.
Luxembourg, represented by Ambassador Paul Steinmetz, was the first non-Asian country to become a member of the AIIB in March 2015. According to the agreement, Luxembourg will contribute up to around 70 million USD.
